Not every leak announces itself. A warm spot on the floor, a jump in the water bill, the sound of water when every tap is off: those are slab leaks and pressurized line leaks, and finding them is the job. We use electronic leak detection and thermal imaging to locate the break to within a foot or two before anyone opens a wall or breaks concrete.

After sixty or seventy years the inside of that pipe has rusted almost closed, which is why two fixtures can’t run at once and why the first water out of the tap in the morning looks like tea.
